An Act to amend the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act to alter the definitions of “child” and “young person”.
Commencement; [9th April 2001]
Short title.
1. This Act may be cited as the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) (Amendment) Act, 2001.
Amendment of Section 2 of Cap. 346
2. Section 2 of the Employment (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act is amended by deleting the definitions of “child” and “young person” and substituting the following:
“”child” means a person who has not attained the age of 16 years.”;
“young person” means a person who has attained the age of 16 years but who has not attained the age of 18 years.”.
