This database contains many of the full texts of national labour laws from Antigua and Barbuda, The Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Guyana, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
In this first version of the database, emphasis has been placed on collecting national labour legislation that relates to the following four topics:
- Termination of employment
- Registration, status and recognition of trade unions and employers' organizations
- Equality of opportunity and non-discrimination in employment
- Occupational safety and health and the working environment
Where available,
additional legislation
on other topics has been
included. It is expected
that additional labour
legislation from the
above mentioned
countries will be added
to the database over
time.
