Intended Beneficiaries:
Children involved in child labour, government, employers, and labour unions in Guyana and Jamaica.
Start/ End Dates:
October 2008 – Ongoing
Objectives:
To help reduce poverty by providing access to basic education and skills training for disadvantaged children and youth.
To strengthen the capacity of national and local authorities in the formulation, implementation and enforcement of policies to tackle child labour in coordination with social partners and civil society.
Expected Results:
Country level legal framework prepared or strengthened where already in existence.
Strengthened institutional capacity leading to improved ability to formulate and implement child labour strategies.
Targeted actions to combat child labour designed and implemented.
Improved advocacy and dissemination of good practices to enhanced knowledge base and networks on child labour and education.

Intended Beneficiaries:
Children involved in child labour, government, employers and labour unions in Belize.

Objectives:
To prevent and eliminate the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (CSEC).
Outputs:
Survey of commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents in Belize.
Various publications dealing with CSEC aimed at the role and responsibilities of the various actors in combating CSEC.
Impact to date:-
Increased awareness and recognition of the problem by the tripartite partners.
Action programmes to prevent and withdraw children from CSEC implemented.

Intended Beneficiaries:
Government, labour unions and employers in Belize and management and labour at enterprise level.
Start/end dates:
September 2005 – ongoing Objectives:
To reduce HIV/AIDS risk behaviours among workers; and to reduce employment-related discrimination against persons living with HIV/AIDS. Action at the level of the enterprise is the principal target of the Project.
Output: National HIV/AIDS Workplace Policy; Behaviour Change Communication materials and messages; training; collection of data (workers' survey). Impact to date:

Government, labour unions and employers in Suriname and management and labour at enterprise level.

August 2007 – Ongoing
Objectives:
Contribute to the reduction of the impact of HIV and AIDS in Suriname by strengthening the workplace response to the epidemic.
To strengthen the capacity of the tripartite partners to develop and manage a comprehensive workplace response to HIV and AIDS at both the national and organization level.
To strengthen the capacity of selected enterprises to develop and implement HIV and AIDS workplace policies and programmes, based on the ILO Code of Practice on HIV/AIDS and the World of Work.
Action at the level of the enterprise is the principal target of the Project.
Outputs:
HIV/AIDS sensitization and training programmes and materials developed and implemented.
Impact to date:
Knowledge, Attitude, Practice and Behaviour (KAPB) baseline study commenced.
Three Memorandum of cooperation signed with private industry.
National Strategic Plan for 2009- 2011 reflects workplace concerns.
