The International Labour Organization implements more than a 1,000 technical cooperation programmes and projects in over 80 countries with the assistance of some 60 donor institutions worldwide. By providing technical guidance on policy issues, and assistance in the design and implementation of development programmes, ILO technical cooperation contributes to the Decent Work Agenda at a national and regional level, and to making this concept a reality for all men and women. Countries of the Caribbean have been recipients of ILO's technical cooperation programmes and projects over the years, providing support in such areas as cooperatives, enterprise development, social security, workers' education, child labour and HIV/AIDS.
