Reynold Simons has a long and varied experience in the field of labour market statistics and policy development. His background allows him to combine the inside perspective of the three social partners with his training and work in social research and statistics.
He joined the ILO and the Caribbean Office in May, 1999 but has collaborated and worked for the ILO, in particular the Caribbean Office, on several occasions in various positions.
Promoting employment and labour market policies, as well as providing or making available advisory services to the countries served by the ILO Caribbean Office in these fields, are the focus of his activities. These responsibilities include advisory services in the field of labour statistics and labour market information systems (LMIS). In addition to this responsibility he heads the Research Unit of the Port of Spain Office.
