Luesette S. Howell is the Senior Specialist for Employers' Activities with the ILO Caribbean Multi-disciplinary Advisory Team, helping to build capacities of employers' organizations in the Caribbean region through advisory services and technical cooperation projects. She also serves as the team's focal point for gender issues, a cross-cutting theme in ILO's work.

Luesette has lived and worked extensively in Africa and in Europe in the areas of university education, private sector management, research, and project development. Joining ILO headquarters in January 1994, Luesette served with the ILO Bureau for Employers' Activities in Geneva, Switzerland with responsibilities for employers' organizations in Africa and the Caribbean.

Having transferred to the ILO Area Office for the Caribbean in April 2001, she remains with the world of employers.
